Founded in 1957, the Manufatura de Botoes Cardenas Ltda., started its activities manufacturing covering buttons in order to understand the needs of the textile segment. In 1973 Cardenas innovated by launching its line buttons on an industrial scale, benefiting the industries of garments and upholstery. In the 90s the company started to operate in the market providing promotional buttons. It also began to participate in fairs and national events. Since 2000, the company has participated of several fairs and events with important designers for SPFW - Sao Paulo Fashion Week and ABIT - Brazilian Association of Textile and Apparel (Brazil Fashion Designers). Since then, Cardenas has maintained an institutional project with both national fashion schools and colleges. Since 1957, the company has been located in the neighborhood of Mooca and now occupies an area of 2900m.Now a days the company works in all national territory and in countries such as Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay, Trinidad and Tobago, Venezuela, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Peru, Colombia, South Africa, Portugal and United States.
